Medical Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing

JENKS (KFAQ) A medical helicopter from Texas had to make an emergency landing in a field near Jenks Thursday afternoon after the chopper experienced mechanical problems.

The incident happened shortly after the helicopter had taken off from Jones Riverside Airport. There were three people on the helicopter at the time of the emergency landing. No one was injured.

The helicopter had flown to Tulsa and had just dropped off a patient and was preparing to fly back to Texas.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
